Product Description

Product Overview

Buried scraper conveyor is a continuous horizontal and inclined bulk material handling equipment. Scraper chains run inside a fully enclosed trough, pushing bulk materials to move forward by the frictional force between materials and scraper bars. It is designed for enclosed conveying of powder, granular and small lump dry bulk solids along horizontal, inclined or slightly vertical routes.

Featuring compact structure, the unit adopts fully sealed trough to effectively control dust emission and prevent material spillage. It is widely used for continuous conveying of powder, granular and small lump bulk materials.

Main types include MS type buried scraper conveyor (horizontal), MC type buried scraper conveyor (inclined) and MZ type buried scraper conveyor (vertical). Carbon steel or stainless steel material options are available for ordinary, abrasive and mildly corrosive working conditions. Wear-resistant scraper bars and chains are optional for heavy-abrasion applications.

Main Structure & Key Features

Scraper chain assembly: Scraper chain is the core working component. It consists of traction chains and scraper bars. Different scraper forms are selectable for different material flow characteristics. Scraper bars are firmly fixed on the traction chains.

Traction assembly: The main traction component is steel scraper chain. Different chain structures are available for light, heavy, high-temperature and highly abrasive materials.

Trough assembly: Sealed metal trough consisting of head section, intermediate trough sections and tail section. Fully-enclosed design prevents dust emission and material leakage. Inspection hatches are reserved for routine maintenance and inspection. Stainless steel trough meets anti-corrosion and sanitary requirements.

Drive & tension unit: Motor-reducer assembly provides driving torque. Head sprocket and tail sprocket drive the closed scraper chain loop. Tension device installed at the tail keeps proper chain tension to avoid slipping. Anti-backstop device prevents material fallback during shutdown for inclined and vertical conveying.

Inlet & outlet: Standard feeding port and discharge port can be arranged on the top or side of the trough. Customised inlet/outlet orientation can be supplied to match your process layout.

Typical Application

Commonly used in building materials, cement, chemical, grain, feed, mining and environmental-protection industries for conveying powder, granular and small lump materials. Suitable for conditions as below: Processes requiring enclosed conveying and strict dust control; Limited installation space demanding compact equipment layout; Production flows transferring bulk materials into silos or next-stage processing machines; Dry abrasive or mildly corrosive materials, where stainless steel trough or wear-resistant scraper components are preferred.

Selection Notes

Define material properties: particle size, moisture content, abrasiveness and corrosiveness to decide chain type, scraper bar and trough material. Confirm required hourly capacity, conveying length, inclination angle and material temperature. Conveying distance, angle and throughput directly determine model selection and drive power. Not recommended for highly sticky, wet or caking materials which easily adhere to the trough and scraper bars and cause blockage. Specify special requirements such as explosion-proof, food-grade, wear protection or CE certification. Check site layout and reserved maintenance space for head and tail sections.

Conclusion

With compact structure, dust-tight performance and stable enclosed conveying capacity, buried scraper conveyor is the preferred solution for horizontal and inclined bulk material conveying. Reliable continuous material transfer can be achieved when properly matched with material characteristics and site working conditions.
