Chevron belt conveyor is a fixed continuous bulk material handling equipment. The rotating chevron pattern belt transports materials along the conveying frame. It is specially designed for inclined conveying to avoid material sliding down.
Featuring anti-slip performance, the unit adopts chevron patterned rubber belt to handle materials at steep inclination angles. It is widely adopted for continuous transfer of granular, blocky and bulk solids.
Main types include stationary chevron belt conveyor and mobile chevron belt conveyor. Carbon steel frame is standard; stainless steel frame and wear-resistant chevron rubber belt options are available for ordinary, damp and mildly corrosive working conditions.
Conveyor belt assembly: The chevron rubber conveyor belt is the core working component to carry materials. Wear-resistant, oil-resistant and food-grade chevron belt types are selectable for different materials.
Frame assembly: Steel frame with optional side guards to prevent material spillage. Robust frame structure supports large inclined conveying angle.
Drive unit: Motor-reducer assembly supplies power. Head pulley and tail pulley drive belt circulation; supporting idlers keep the belt stable during operation.
Anti-slip chevron belt: Special herringbone pattern on belt surface prevents material backsliding under large inclined angle.
Steep angle conveying: Able to work at bigger inclination compared with plain belt conveyors, saving workshop floor space.
Commonly used in grain, mining, construction, quarry, chemical and environmental-protection industries for bulk material transport. Suitable for conditions as below: Inclined conveying where materials tend to slip back; Conveying granular and block materials such as sand, gravel, grain, coal and aggregate; Indoor and outdoor bulk material feeding and loading operations; Material conveying with limited installation space.
Define material properties: particle size, bulk density, abrasiveness and moisture to decide chevron belt type and frame material. Confirm required conveying capacity, conveying distance and inclination angle. The actual throughput will change with the inclination angle. Not recommended for ultra-sticky materials that may stick to the belt surface and block the chevron pattern. Clarify working environment (indoor or outdoor), confirm rain cover requirement. Check whether side baffles, feeding hopper and speed regulation function are needed.
