Product Description

Product Overview

The MS400 × 29.2 m en masse scraper conveyor is a fully enclosed scraper-type conveyor arranged at a 45° incline, with an overall length of 29.2 meters. It continuously lifts and transfers dewatered sludge and slurry-type bulk materials from a lower elevation to an upper hopper or downstream processing equipment. The fully enclosed trough keeps material contained throughout the conveying path — minimal dust, no odor release — making it suitable for installation in sludge dewatering buildings or mezzanine spaces.

This model is designed for applications requiring elevation change: it receives filter cake from belt or plate-and-frame filter presses upstream and feeds sludge hoppers, dryers, or incineration units downstream.

Construction Features

45° Inclined Lifting Design

The unit is arranged at a 45° angle over a 29.2 m overall length, providing a substantial horizontal projection with corresponding lift height — matching the elevation difference between two floors in a wastewater treatment plant. The incline section relies on internal material friction and scraper thrust to move the bed upward without intermediate transfer points.

MS400 × 29.2 m En Masse Scraper Conveyor with 45° Inclined Lifting, Fully Enclosed Trough, and Wear-Resistant Bottom Plate

Fully Enclosed Trough

Rectangular enclosed housing, built in bolted flange sections and fabricated in segments for field assembly over the 29.2 m length. Material travels in an en masse (buried) state with good sealing, reducing workshop dust and odor.

Drop-Forged Chain Drive

Drop-forged chain at 200 mm pitch offers high fatigue strength for heavy traction under 45° inclined duty. A tail screw tensioner compensates for chain elongation.

Wear-Resistant Bottom Plate

The trough bottom is fully 8 mm wear-resistant plate with 6 mm side plates. Abrasive wear concentrates on the bottom during inclined conveying; the thicker bottom extends the major-overhaul interval, while side plates provide structural strength.

Standardized Drive Components

Tongli gearbox, Wannan motor, and SKF bearings — all mature standard brands with good parts availability; for export projects, SKF's global network supports fast bearing replacement and reduced downtime.

Applications

Elevation Lifting in Sludge Dewatering Buildings

When the filter-press platform and the sludge hopper or loading bay are at different elevations, the MS400 × 29.2 m completes the lift in a single 45° run, replacing multi-stage belt transfers and reducing equipment count and maintenance points.

Feed to Sludge Drying / Incineration Lines

Before a low-temperature dryer, incinerator, or co-processing unit, the conveyor lifts filter cake continuously to a high-level inlet — forming a "crushing–conveying–buffering" system with the double-tooth-roll filter cake crusher and sludge hopper.

Sand Washing and Slurry Handling

For sand-laden tail slurry, the 8 mm wear-resistant bottom plate resists abrasive wear, and enclosed conveying prevents mud splashing on site.

Sizing Notes

  • Capacity basis: 8 t/h is the design capacity under 45° inclined duty (0.25 m/s chain speed); the same trough width delivers more in horizontal layout — recalculate power and chain strength for the required lift height.
  • Site interfaces: inlet/discharge elevations and flange dimensions can be customized to match upstream dewatering equipment outlets and downstream hopper inlets; the unit ships in sections for field assembly.
  • Material fit: suited to dewatered sludge (approximately 60%–80% moisture) and granular/powdered materials; for highly sticky material, a replaceable wear-resistant liner and regular flight inspection are recommended.
